KATSEYE’s Manon Reveals Group Chat with BTS’s j-hope, Reads Fanfic & Supports Lesbians

On April 27, Manon, a member of HYBE girl group KATSEYE, started a live stream session where she freely communicated with fans. Here, the female idol mentioned an embarrassing situation with a BTS member, who she met at the HYBE building while in Korea for promotions.
In particular, Manon started by saying, “I don’t know if I can talk about it”, adding that she was jet-lagged and sick, standing alongside the members as they were in the elevator in the HYBE building. As KATSEYE walked out, however, Manon spotted a guy from the “same group as j-hope” standing outside, whom she thought was BTS’s j-hope.

Then, as Manon excitedly greeted the guy, he only looked confused, causing her to later ask the KATSEYE members if j-hope didn’t remember them. However, the members told Manon that it was not j-hope, leaving her terribly flustered.
Additionally, Manon revealed that after attending j-hope’s concert, the KATSEYE members have a groupchat with him, adding that the BTS members “always responds” to their texts, which is often very random, such as asking him about this favorite snacks. According to Manon, j-hope is extremely kind, and “just the nicest human being ever”, warming the hearts of fans of the two groups.
Finally, Manon baffled all fans watching the stream as she pulled up the famous reading app Wattpad and started to read fanfictions of KATSEYE (writings depicting members of the group being in relationships, often queer and romantic). “I can’t breathe”, a fan commented upon witnessing the moment, while another stated that Manon is “pulling a Lara”.
Additionally, when a fan mentioned “lesbian visibility week”, Manon thanked Lesbians for being there, even adding that she loves lesbians.

Meanwhile, fellow KATSEYE member Lara previously drew attention for coming out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community and even later asked fans for fanfiction recommendations about the group. However, Lara also clarified that she is not dating her fellow members.
